Amort is an easy to use loan/interest calculator. Amort tells you how much a loan will cost you at a given annual rate, term of loan, and amount of monthly payment. The user enters the amount of the loan and the annual percentage rate (APR).

Amort Full Description
Amort is an easy to use loan/interest calculator. Amort tells you how much a loan will cost at a given annual rate, term of loan, and amount of monthly payment. The user enters the amount of the loan and the annual percentage rate (APR). Amort then calculates the term of the loan if the monthly payment is entered or the monthly payment if the term of the loan is entered. Amort will also calculate the amount that can be borrowed if the user enters the monthly payment amount, the annual percentage rate, and the term of the loan in months.
Amort will print the main form showing all calculations by simply clicking one button.
Amort will list all the payments to be made over the term of the loan, again, by simply clicking one button.
Amort answers questions like:
How large a monthly payment can I afford?
If I borrow $100,000 for 30 years at 6%, how much interest will I pay over that 30-year period?
Should I seek financing for 15 or 30 years? How much will I save by financing for 15 years?
How much will I owe on a 15 year loan 5 years from now?
How much will I owe in December 2020?
If I can afford to pay $900 a month, how much can I borrow?
The car we want costs $23,500. At 3% APR for 5 years, what will my payments be?
How much will that item really cost me if I finance it for 3 years.
How long will it take to repay a $2000 loan if I pay back $200 a month at an interest rate of 2%?
Is it true that our new home will cost as much in the interest we pay as we paid for the house?
Using the Amort complementary Excel template, the user can calculate how much a late charge affects their final cost, or how much an extra payment affects their final cost.
